Why do you want to sell your equipment? You are a great photographer, I don't understand. :'(
Anyway, really awesome photograph. You should maybe sell your photos if you need money, I'm sure you will sell a lot with your awesome quality of photographs.
Thanks Andreas, appreciate your concern and your kind words! My hearts just not in it at the moment, and it hasn't been for a while now! I think the problems always been that I got into photography for the sake of it, without having a real interest in anything to photograph! Landscapes have always been my default subject, but there really isn't anything else that interests me and I'm getting tired of sunsets! lol
When I first got the idea to try photography, it was a toss up between that and getting a mountain bike, I'm now debating whether to sell my camera and use the funds to purchase that bike!
I don't know...I'm going to give it some serious thought.
I used to go out and take photos every time there was a possibility of a decent sunset, and I got a lot of mediocre shots, with a few good ones in between (that i've been far to lazy to post here)
After a few worse-than-average sessions i completely lost my enthusiasm about it. I had almost a month where i didn't bother taking any photos, considered selling my kit. But the other night i went out and got a couple of good shoots, and i could tell that i was a lot more enthusiastic about it.
Anyway... The whole point im getting at is, maybe a bit of time off is good, but don't sell your gear, as you'll definatly miss it when you find your enthusiasm again. Give it a break and come back to it with a fresh mind
Yeah I know what you mean and I think I had a similar problem. I was sick of the same kind of photos and of course of bad results, but in those situations you just need a break. Nowadays I'm rarely taking photos, only if I have a good idea for some photos or if I want to go out and just take some photos for fun. I think it's important to have some off time, that's why I can't imagine to be a professional photographer who must take photos every day. You can't force your creativity, so please think about it and give the photography a break, but don't cancel your awesome skills. Don't let people rush you about this, take you time and wait. I'm sure your creativity comes back by itself.
And maybe you should sell some of your photos, so you can afford your bike to do something else than taking photos!
